Pre-screening interview

You would like to make an appointment to take a test, but you’re not sure whether your Dutch is good enough? You can come along to the Dutch Language House for a pre-screening interview.

What is a pre-screening interview?

A pre-screening interview is a test to see whether your Dutch is good enough to pass an official test you take by appointment.
The pre-screening interview is an oral test, while the official test you take by appointment includes both oral and written parts.
The pre-screening interview takes less time than a test. It takes about 30 minutes and the topics covered are of a general nature. After the interview we make a recommendation:

  • If your Dutch is good enough, you can make an appointment for an official test.
  • If your Dutch is not yet good enough, we will suggest a few options to improve it.

You decide whether to follow our recommendation or not.
