Plonge: Dutch language immersion programme

Learning Dutch in school is one thing. Using Dutch effectively is something completely different.

This is particularly the case in Brussels, where you scarcely hear a word of Dutch spoken in the streets. And yet, a good knowledge of Dutch is indispensable for finding a job, for instance.

Are you between 18 and 25 years old with a basic knowledge of Dutch? Then you can spend the autumn half-term holiday in Antwerp with a group of young people from Brussels, to be fully immersed in Dutch for a whole week.

During the day, you will work as a volunteer in a local organisation, either with young people or with the elderly. In the evening and on the weekend you will take part in relaxing, language-stimulating activities such as a city board game, making a reportage in the city, or meeting young people from Antwerp.

After the total immersion course in Antwerp, we will look together into how you can continue to improve your Dutch in Brussels.
