Learn Dutch through self-study

Would you like to study Dutch independently? No problem!

We will recommend the material for your self-study in Dutch: we will recommend textbooks, as well as websites and apps.

You will receive tips on where and how to practice Dutch in Brussels. This means that you can practise by having real conversations.

We can also provide advice on business Dutch or specific specific work-related vocabulary.

For whom?

  • You live in Brussels.
  • You are 16 years or older.
  • You want to study Dutch yourself, without a teacher.
  • You want to study Dutch when it suits you.
  • You are enrolled in a Dutch course but have extra learning needs.
  • You want to learn something specific, for example Dutch for your job.
  • Your Dutch course is not due to start before a couple of weeks or months. You want to start learning Dutch immediately through self-study.

How does it work?

You already know a little bit (or a lot) of Dutch: ask for individual advice

Make an appointment for a consultation, online or at the Dutch Language House. You explain why you want to learn Dutch. You will then receive advice about starting your self-study.
