Certification tests
Do you need to prove your knowledge of Dutch? Enrol in a certification test. If you pass, you will receive the official certificate.
How does it work?
You make an appointment for pre-screening advice.
- During pre-screening, we test your language level and your digital skills. This informs you of your likely success rate at passing the certification test.
- At the end of your pre-screening appointment, and if you wish to go ahead, you will be given an appointment for part 1 of the test. Then you also have to pay.
The certification test consists of two parts (on two different days):
- The first part involves testing Dutch reading and listening (duration: 2 hours). The test is digital and consists of multiple-choice questions. If you pass, you can immediately make an appointment for the second part of the test.
- The second part of the test consists of writing and speaking exercises (duration: 2 hours).
How much does a certification test cost?
Pre-screening advice is free. A certification test costs €180, to be prepaid when booking part 1.
When will you receive the result?
You will receive an email with your result within three weeks of sitting part 2 of the test .
