Tests for parents
Would you like to enrol your child at a Dutch-speaking school or nursery? You will be given priority if you speak a certain level of Dutch.
How does it work?
- You will take the test with one of our consultants.
- The test is taken orally and lasts 30 minutes.
- The test consists of 2 parts: In the first part only you will speak; the second part is a dialogue with a consultant.
- You will be given a topic to talk about. The topics are real-life situations at a school or nursery. You will be given a short time to prepare this.
- You will receive the results of the test within 7 days. If the result is satisfactory, you will receive a certificate which you give to the school or nursery. If you did not reach the required level, you may repeat the test after 6 months.
What level do you need to achieve?
- Enrolling in a nursery: a certificate for level B1 oral
- Enrolling in kindergarten, primary or secondary school: a certificate for level B2 oral.
How much does this test cost?
A language test for prioritising your child's enrolment in a Dutch-speaking school or nursery is free of charge.
